....My daughter has taken several workshops. She was thrilled and each
class fed her intellectual curiosity in a wonderful way. My daughter is
not easily thrilled, so that is a huge compliment! She was engaged by
the subject matter, and the Barrs' enthusiasm definitely contagious. I
highly recommend their classes! If you're a parent without a lot of
inclination toward history, let the Barrs teach your kids!

I HIGHLY recommend
Lukeion… My daughter started taking classes last year and has quickly
become a devotee… the classes are fun and interactive...
Give them a try... I can promise you: “You will not regret it!” Rita R., parent

Two types of classes:
ONLINE classes are not all the same
Online classes predates the development of high-speed internet.
"Online class" today is applied to everything from a check list
of resources,
correspondence courses via email, chat
rooms, recordings and any combination of media.
All of our classes at the Lukeion Project are passionately taught,
live,
real-time presentations using cutting-edge technology developed
for
collaborative international meetings. Students from around the world come
together
to see and hear well illustrated
presentations, take virtual trips together to museum sites and news articles, collaborate, discuss and
participate.
Students attend from anywhere:
-
Online weekly puzzles and games help students actively review and enjoy the material
-
Unique class web pages keep handouts, activities, calendars and more
available 24/7
-
Strong visual presentations
Semester courses are college-preparatory:
-
Courses develop time management skills, test taking strategies, research writing skills, note-taking,
responsibility and
much more

"We are not new to the
Project but have thoroughly enjoyed our two year experience with you. We tell
many people about your teaching. We will be with you for many years since the
youngest guy here is only 10 and wanted to start Latin with you in the fall. We
will try to fit in a few history workshops in the summer and the fall. Thanks
for your great teaching and commitment to excellence!! Debbie W., mom

We use one-way and occasionally two-way VoIP for our
sessions:
your student will hear the instructor, see notes and images, and be able to
provide constant feedback in class in a variety of ways (poll, mark-up, text,
quizzes, whiteboard, text board chat, and more).
A high speed
internet (DSL, Cable, etc.) are required to attend one of our classes.
Dial-up will not work.
All operating systems will work, provided that they are reasonably up to
date (for example, Windows 98 will
not work).
Both Mac and Windows will now work in all of our courses.
