Education focused and family friendly
Know Before You Go Sessions
We get you ready to travel with five live online evening sessions that meet once a month prior to departure beginning in December. We will take a little look at every site we will visit and give you timely advice for being an expert traveler.
All ages
Most tours are designed for groups of high school and college students, or the retirement crowd. We do something unusual: we build a trip for families, teens and adults of all ages to enjoy. The mix of ages has is a huge asset for our tours.
We welcome families with children as young as 8 years old. Older students (17+) are welcome to travel without a chaperone as are adults of any age. We do not provide chaperoned trips and cannot accommodate independent travelers ages 8-16 without an accompanying adult.
You need not be a registered Lukeion student to travel with us.
Stress free
Though travel can never be entirely stress free, we do our best to minimize travel worries as we handle nearly all the details. Included in the price of our trips:
- Airfare from our departure city
(we do have 'land only' options) - All airport transfers and land transportation
(we have a private air conditioned bus--we don't mix with other tours) - Hotel with a private bathroom
(Single travelers have the option of paying for a single room or being paired with fellow travelers of the same gender. Travelers under age 21 may be requried to pay a supplement fee if staying in a double room.) - Entry fees to all sites and museums listed on our itinerary
- Dedicated tour director for all trip logistics
- Transportation while in Greece
- Professional guides
- Breakfasts and evening meals
(These are set menu or buffet so there's no waiting for food after a busy day of sightseeing.)
A full cultural experience
We also treat our travelers to sample many local crafts, foods, etc. Anticipate stops at local handicraft demonstration centers, exporters of local foods, souvenir shopping, and wine tasting opportunities.
Our native-language speaking private tour director always works closely with trip organizers Regan and Amy Barr to make each trip unique and well-suited to our schedule and group. We do our best to provide a sample of everything. Expect the unexpected and be flexible as we work around local conditions to make our trip great!
Recommended: EF Tours offers excellent, comprehensive tour insurance. We recommend Tour insurance for each traveler.
